The Wharfedale & District Football Association squad who were chosen, one from most Saturday Clubs in the Wharfedale area, to play
against the Leeds United ex-players to celebrate the Centenary of the Wharfedale & District Football Association at Guiseley A.F.C. on Sunday
the 19th. October 2008.
All the proceeds from this match went to the Leeds United Ex-players Charity at Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) the Kidney Unit and the Wharfedale F.A. Charity, Wheatfields Hospice.
The result for what it mattered was a 5 goals to 4 win by the Wharfedale F.A. Representative side. All the players enjoyed a thoroughly good
afternoon and so did the great gathering of spectators who gave generously at the gate and also to the programme and raffle ticket sales.

The Leeds United Ex-Players team was:  Jordan Yorath (Goalkeeper), Vince Brockie, Nigel Thompson, John Stiles, Neil Parsley,
Simon Grayson, Tommy Wright, Scott Sellars, Andy Ritchie, John Hendrie, Stuart Gray, Joe Hendrie, Brendan Ormsby & Bobby Shields.

Match Officials:    Referee:                     Jon Moss of Horsforth. Level 1 National List & Football League Referee.
Assistant Referees:   Paul Varley of Burley in Wharfedale. Level 2 Panel List, Conference & Central League Referee.

Fourth Official:           Chris Worts of Burley in Wharfedale.  Level 7 Harrogate League Referee.
The above Match Officials would not accept any match fees or expenses on the day and we would like to thank them on everyone's behalf.

Chris Davey, Wharfedale F.A. gives Leeds United Ex-Players goalkeeper Jordan Yorath no chance in scoring one of his 2 goals in the
Centenary game at Guiseley A.F.C.

More about the event to follow and also the great efforts put in by the Officials of both the Wharfedale F.A. and Guiseley A.F.C.
